Warranty FAQs

Common questions about AC warranties

How do I check my warranty status?

You can check your warranty status by providing your unit's model and serial number using our form below. We'll look up your coverage and let you know what's covered.

What voids my warranty?

Common warranty violations include: DIY repairs, using non-authorized service technicians, lack of regular maintenance, improper installation, and using non-OEM parts.

Does regular maintenance affect my warranty?

Yes! Most manufacturers require annual professional maintenance to keep warranties valid. Our Cool Comfort Club membership includes this maintenance.

Can I use any technician for warranty repairs?

For warranty repairs, you should use authorized service providers like AC Repairmen. Using unauthorized technicians may void your warranty.

How long is the labor warranty on new installations?

New AC system installations come with a 1-year labor warranty covering workmanship issues. This is in addition to the manufacturer's parts warranty which typically ranges from 5-10 years.

What's covered under repair labor warranty?

Major repairs (compressor, coil, or motor replacement) include a 90-day labor warranty. Minor repairs and maintenance services include a 30-day labor warranty on the work performed.

Does the labor warranty cover return visits?

Yes, if the same issue recurs within the warranty period due to our workmanship, we'll return and fix it at no additional labor cost. Parts may be covered separately under manufacturer warranty.

Are parts under separate warranty from labor?

Yes. Labor warranty covers our workmanship, while parts are covered under the manufacturer's warranty or the parts supplier warranty. We can help you understand both coverages.
